Update to Liquid Domestic Sewage Dumping Fees

The Rural Municipality of Frenchman Butte No. 501 wishes to advise residents and businesses that Council has approved amendments to the Liquid Domestic Sewage Carrier Fees Policy.

Effective March 1, 2026, the following fee changes apply at RM lagoon and truck dump facilities:

• Loads generated within the RM of Frenchman Butte No. 501: There is now no charge for sewage hauled from within RM boundaries. (Previously $1.50 per cubic metre)
• Loads generated outside the RM of Frenchman Butte No. 501: The disposal fee has been increased to $10.00 per cubic metre. (Previously $2.25 per cubic metre)

The intent of waiving the disposal fee for sewage generated within the RM is to help reduce costs for local ratepayers. The RM encourages carriers to pass this savings on to their clients where applicable.
