SEASONAL CLASS 1A DRIVER / HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

Description:
The RM of Frenchman Butte No. 501 is seeking a self-motivated person, to join our Public Works Department, in the role of a Seasonal Class 1A Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator. The Public Works Department operates Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. The RM of Frenchman Butte office and shop are located ¼ mile north-east of Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan.

Qualifications:
The successful individual will possess the following qualities:

  • a professional, positive, and friendly attitude while taking pride in their work;
  • effective skills to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • experience operating heavy equipment an asset, but not a requirement;
  • be capable of working with minimum supervision;
  • prior municipal experience is an asset but is not a requirement;
  • possess a valid Class 1A driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract;
  • a basic understanding of map reading:  knowledge of legal land descriptions, how to locate a specific spot on a map, and how to get to that location.


The successful individual may have the following responsibilities:

  • Operating as a Class 1A driver.
  • Operating Heavy Equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
